About
I purchased my first watercolor box in 2018, when the itch to learn drawing and painting returned after a false start in 2016. I was fascinated by the watercolor diaries of the artist aboard the Beagle during the famous expedition with Charles Darwin.
The idea of using tangible, physical tools to take visual notes of the world felt like a Siren song to me. Over the years, I’ve filled travel diaries with watercolor paintings, and later I discovered the beauty of opaque media such as gouache and oil.
I paint from life as often as I can. Plein air painting allows me to explore the world and observe nature closely, trying to capture the light and colors that give each place its unique atmosphere.
I have a blog where I share the techniques that I'm learning along the way, and a YouTube channel where I post videos of my adventures outdoors and some tutorials for those who want to learn to paint as well. You can also follow me on Instagram to see my latest works and sketches.
I live and paint in Italy. You can contact me through my Blog, YouTube Channel or Instagram.
